Consultation and fee
New patient consultation
Under 18’s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
I will ask you a series of confidential and comprehensive questions relating to your past and present overall health, stress levels and lifestyle. Based upon the information received, and after I carry out a full clinical examination (musculo-skeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory) I then will explain to you what I believe the issue is likely to be and how we can treat and rehabilitate you. Before the consultation it is useful if you write down all the issues and injuries you have had in your life prior to your consult, for me to review and for you to jog your memory.
This first consultation usually lasts up to an hour and generally includes some treatment, dependent on the complexity of your case.
Follow up treatments
Whilst you are recovering and rehabilitating you will regularly attend appointments where I assess and reassess your progress. I continue the appropriate treatment at the appropriate time in your recovery timeline. At these appointments it is a good time for you to ask questions and clarify your understanding as well as to let me know of any problems you are encountering. I actively encourage you to get in contact before sessions if you are experiencing any concerns.
Standard follow up sessions are approximately 30 minute, but may be up to 60 minutes, depending on the complexity of your case, including reassessments, review of progress, treatment and exercise rehabilitation.
Please be on time for your appointments. (Wear a face covering and have hand sanitiser).
I regularly send exercises out via email, please check your Spam or Junkmail as they sometimes end up there.
